Marina regulars say a pelican with far too much confidence has been pacing the waterfront like it pays rent, sparking fresh gossip about whether the bird is part of the game’s next great seaside nonsense.
Witnesses reported the pelican perching on signposts, staring at boats, and making one elderly man feel as if he had forgotten a membership card.
“It had the air of a fellow who knows where the keys are,” said one onlooker. “Not necessarily a bad bird. Just administratively intense.”
The local rumour, naturally, is that the pelican’s behaviour must point to some kind of future mission, hidden faction, or at minimum a very stern cutscene about fish.
No official confirmation was offered, because this is a newspaper column about a bird, and not remotely the sort of place one should expect official anything.
Still, the pelican has reportedly continued its circuit of the marina, maintaining eye contact with everyone and absolutely nobody winning that exchange.
