The internet has once again done what it does best: stare at a blurry shape and declare it destiny.
This time the object under scrutiny is a fire hydrant in slippers, which is said to be “considering a senior role” in Vice City’s queue management department, despite having no visible hands, credentials, or understanding of jazz brunch etiquette.
In the footage, the hydrant appears to pivot slightly toward a line of bewildered pedestrians before emitting what witnesses described as “a deeply managerial silence.” Experts have interpreted this as either leadership potential or a minor kink in the camera lens.
Fans are already split. One camp insists the hydrant’s footwear suggests a more relaxed approach to civil order. The other camp says the slippers are merely decorative and should not be read as a policy statement on loafers.
Either way, the clip has caused the usual online frenzy, with users enlarging pixels, drawing circles around dust, and announcing they have solved the entire game before lunch.
As ever, nobody knows anything, but everyone is extremely confident about it. The hydrant itself has not commented, though it is understood to have stood there steadfastly, which frankly is more than most candidates do.
