Analysts, meaning three blokes and a spreadsheet with stage fright, are now convinced that Vice City’s most important future system is not combat, transport, or property, but wet-floor diplomacy.
Their thesis centres on a mop in loafers, reportedly spotted in a speculative diagram looking “official enough to annoy people” while standing near a bucket as if it had just been promoted.
The thinking goes that any mop confident enough to wear loafers is clearly prepared to mediate disputes between spillage, foot traffic, and the deeply personal beliefs of polished tiles.
According to this line of nonsense, the whole map may be subtly restructured around cleaning routes, reflective surfaces, and the moral difference between a drip and a splash.
One analyst claimed the mop’s silhouette suggests a new class of “soft utility icons”, which is a phrase no one has ever been ready for.
Whether this means anything at all remains unclear, but the market has already reacted by becoming dramatically more sensible than the rumour deserves.
If true, Vice City could end up less about chaos and more about the grimly elegant management of damp corridors.
